  • I just decided to look at this site and realized, it has not been worked on in about a month.
  • I will try and get something out soon, I have just had lots of schoolwork lately!
  • Something that will be changed, is the side images will only be generated after an update, this will allow browsers to cache the dynamic images.

  • Note the ads on this page are there as a place holder uncase I decide to use them. They are not real, one is a Romanian Cable Internet Provider, and the other is HowStuffWorks.
  • This site layout will probably be used for the children sites of this, but with different main colors and probably less contrast, although I like high contrast.
  • The child sites are remotelythere.com (which is a site dedicated for easy remote connections of RDC, VNC, and X11) and digitaldropbox.com (a file sharing/upload/hosting site)
  • Links are all dynamic and generated by directory layout.
  • I am thinking about changing colors of logo on the top right.
  • I am going to rework the site to get the links and articles and stuff through a database.
  • The database will be updated based on directory structure by a script either called manually or by a cron job.
  • Currently structure is name.page, but soon will be for:
        main pages:    name.order.default.page
        articles:          name.section.order.article
        projects:         name.section.order.project
  • Articles will include things like:
How to generally protect your computer
        Overview of spyware removal/prevention
Antivirus Application Overview (Which is better for what)
Firewall Application Overview (Which is better for what)
        VPN How-To-Solution
  • The articles will probably be Wiki based, unless abused, so Users can add-on
  • Projects will include open-source projects that are currently being worked on. (C++, PHP, VB, etc)
  • As you can see at the bottom of the page, articles and large documents will be split-up to a nicer form, a print form will be added to make a printer-friendly version of the page, PDF will make the printer-friendly page a PDF file for archives.
  • The links on the bottom will probably be for privacy statement, contact information, resume, etc...
  • The find box is not yet active and probably will not be coded until I get content up.

  • Here is a test layout for highsupport.com
  • Let me know what you think!
  • I tried to keep similar color schemes from old to new with some exceptions.
  • What do you think about the new logo, good? bad? ok?
  • I had trouble with the marquee in the old design as new standards came out and would always misalign so no marquee.
  • Considering a what's new section on the right ---> just a box like on planetsourcecode.com (except theirs is on the left)
  • Do the link buttons look alright. I tried to keep the shapes basic, o if the mouse on the top corner is copyrighted I am sorry, let me know, I just did a google image search and found it.  The color and contrast was changed so it may be alright. I did not see a copyright
  • Due to the amount of bandwidth active chat systems take, I probably will not have that, but a forum probably, if I can get people to chat there.
  • Next Phases is to change link images to PHP GDlib Generated, instead of static.
  • Come up with php logic and translate into PHP instead of sliced Paint Shop Pro image
  • I need to figure out content for this site, as it has not been maintained in a long time.
  • For the old site click here

Peace Out,
-Andy-
